The Bill Penn Grant was developed for junior golf instructors who are expanding or improving their current program needs. In order for a program to be eligible, the program must provide golf instruction for juniors in the surrounding area, as well as introduce golf to disadvantaged children.
The Bill Penn Grant strives on the mission of the TGA Foundation by growing golf in the next generations. Throughout the “Life Cycle” of a golfer, the Bill Penn Grant is the “Start” of the child involving golf in their life.
By learning basic skills needed on and off the course, the child can builds lifelong connections to others and the game. The Bill Penn Grants have helped improve programs such as area First Tee Chapters, LPGA/USGA Girls golf sites, PGA Junior League and after-school golf programs.
The TGA Foundation plans to continue improving children’s lives by giving programs the necessary funds to teach more children about the game of golf.
