Fenimore/Schultz convert lead to win North Four-Ball
Briefly: Dru Fenimore of Dallas and Jason Schultz of Allen held a share of the lead and converted to win the North Four-Ball by two over Josh Irving and Scott Volpitto. Fenimore and Schultz much like the weather took a little while to get warmed up but once they reached the par four, seventh they never looked back. A birdie there and three on the back side saw them complete the wire to wire victory. Finishing in solo second was Dallas’ Josh Irving and Scott Volpitto.

Golf Course: Located in Mansfield, Walnut Creek Country Club plays features 36 holes of challenging golf over the Pecan and Oak Courses. The championship golf being contested on the Pecan Course features fast and true putting greens that are well guarded by gentle mounding and bunkers. At par 70, the golf course played to 6,580 for the championship.
Final Round Wrap Up: Finishing third alone was Plano’s Gant Bills and Dallas’ Michael Ray. The pair’s 3-under 67 was tied for the low round of the day and helped propel them up the leaderboard. High School students Matthew Griggs of Keller and Jase Summy of Prosper rounded out the top four by matching their first round 68 for a 4-under-par total.
Weather: High of 50 degrees with a clam breeze of 9mph.
