GOLF COURSE: South Shore Harbour Golf Club, originally designed by David Marr and Jay Riviere, was renovated and augmented by Jeffery Blume in the late 1990s. The Shore and Harbour Courses have evolved into a traditional course with rolling hills, plenty of penalty areas and a steady wind off the bay. The routing is sure to test each player’s mental and physical skills. The Women’s Eclectic competitors played the Shore-Harbour courses at a distance of 5,296 yards in Round 1.
WEATHER: Early morning clouds and fog turned into a nice afternoon with partly sunny skies. The temperature was a nice welcome with a high in the low 80’s. The ESE prevailing wind was coming off the Galveston Bay at 8 mph throughout the round.
