DALLAS – The Flodder Financial Shootout returns to The Club at Falcon Point on June 17-18 as each division vies for an FFS Champion belt buckle.

Kyle Flodder, a competitor in more than 30 Texas Golf Association tournaments, is the proud sponsor of the tournament. He played golf collegiately at Texas Christian University and would go on to get his MBA from Harvard Business School. Kyle now works with his father, Steven, at the Flodder Financial Group.

The Flodder Financial Shootout is split into three divisions, Boys 15-18, Boys 14 & Under and a Girls 12-18 Division. Top finishers in each division will earn AJGA Performance Stars along with exemptions into LJT Invitational events and each division winner will receive a custom-made Flodder Financial Shootout belt buckle.

Dallas’ Connor Adams won the Boys 15-18 Division last year after making par on the first playoff hole to edge Matthew Comegys of Plano. The pair finished 36 holes at 2-under 142 overall and immediately went into the sudden death playoff on the par-4 18th hole at Falcon Point.

Isha Dhurva of Katy won the Girls 12-18 Division after shooting even-par 72 in the final round and getting to 2-over 146 overall. Houston’s Jaivir Pande won the Boys 14 & Under Division after shooting rounds of 72-68 to get to 4-under overall and seven strokes ahead of the division field.

All three players join a list of distinguished past champions at the Flodder Financial Shootout. Cole Hammer and Walker Lee have each won this event and both players have qualified and played in a U.S. Open Championship. Travis Vick, Ashni Dhruva, Macy
Fox, Scott Roden and Garrett Martin are also past champions of this event.

The Club at Falcon Point is hosting the Flodder Financial Shootout for the second straight year. The par-72 layout stretches out to 6,800 yards and was designed by Devlin and von Hagge. The course opened in 1984 and is routed through housing with Bermuda fairways and greens.

The Flodder Financial Group has sponsored this event each of the first seven years and has always been a supporter of junior golf. The group helps develop and implement tax, savings, investment and estate planning strategies.

The first round is scheduled for Monday, June 17 with tee times starting at 7:30 am off the No. 1 and 10 tees. The final round pairings will be redrawn according to score from the first round and will begin at 7:30 am on Tuesday, June 18.
